------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Jan 11 17:18:19 +0000 2008 ------- hmmmmm...well looking at the wiki main page (http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Main_Page) which I STILL can not easily find from the main home page :( what would you suggest? maybe a separate new main item called "We Run on Linux!' or something of that nature? Take a look at the comprehensive linux distro site---distrowatch.com and you'll see why even "listing" Linux distros is somewhat problematic IMO. What WOULD be valuable is to state the underlying requirements that any Linux distro should have to run OOo successfully... C library versions, etc...if such a statement exists or could exist. generally Linux users have come to expect this type of verbiage, I think. The newer "packaging" of OOo for Linux goes a long way I imagine to actually identifying potential pitfalls as well. Bottom line...I will happily change th existing download instructions to completely take out the info on linux distros and dig around a bit to find something that might stand the test of time a bit better.
