Sorry for the delay to reply. I've just installed some 2.4.0 pre-release (still
French) that was on my hard disk (I couldn't find any later version for Mac OS X
***PowerPC***). I've also set the currency back to Euro. And the bug is still
present (same problem). Worse, when I type "open é.odt" while OpenOffice isn't
open yet, it crashes (EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION), but this is a different bug as it
also crashes with filenames containing only ASCII characters.

So, the bug should be reopened. Also the latest comment from cbrunet is plainly
wrong: HFS+ is the standard Apple file system and Mac OS X 10.4.11 is not that
old.

If a newer version is available for Mac OS X PowerPC, I can test it. (I could
also probably compile it if it doesn't have too many dependencies.)
