Our problem is not that we don't get suggestions (on the contrary, as the more
than 3000 enhancement or feature suggestions we have just in the "Wordprocessor"
project) show, we have loads of them.
The problem is to get them in a way that they are
- focussed
- understandable
- not already existing(!)
This will become harder if we created a second tool for suggestions. So I
hesitate to welcome the idea of a "suggestion box". This might become just a
"box of no return" for everything you put in as nobody will be available to
evaluate the suggestions, compare them with the several thousands we already
have and enter the new ones into Issue Tracker (as at the end this will be the
only tool developers will use to finally implement the enhancements).
Of course I'm not the one to decide about that, it's just my personal opinion,
for me it's a "WONTFIX" for the named reasons. If you wanted to follow up on
this, please start a discussion on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list. But
honestly, I think most people that are in charge of collecting and fulfilling
requirements will share my reservation.
But thanks anyway for your attempt to make our community work better. And of
