a whitelist in offapi doesn't help users.
Changing the types.rdb and insert a useful note in typelibrary_history.txt with
bug id is for internal use. Using a whitelist won't show later changes and
people would easy forget that there is still something to do. If we can agree on
a way to change types incompatible for example to major releases i would like to
see a public documentation what changed and how to migrate if necessary. But
let us discuss this on the mailing list ...
