@Es, thank you, it works.

@Os, you write a book with thousands bibliography entries and then you make
some corrections to the DB and then you have to manually sift trough the whole
book just to manually reinsert all the fields because OOW by design is
crippled? What kind of bibliography is that?

1) I edit the bibliography database
2) I insert a bibliography field
3) I insert bibliography index
4) I correct bibliography DB
5) I expect that after "update bibliography index" the INDEX will be refreshed

This is common sense, I set "no manual changes" for purpose. If the user has
to correct bibliography and then AGAIN insert all the fields it is not any
help. Please show me the system which work that way (by design).

The whole idea of bibliography database is too keep one big DB, constantly
edited and polished as a reference. If those changes won't be automatically
updated by OOW user can as well put all the bibliography by hand in the
document and just use automatic numbering.

Please, show me the benefit of using bibliography DB as you imagined comparing
to manual bibliography editing. I see none, what worse -- manual editing (as
described above) does not require re-insterting the fields.

Reopening because the wontfix resolution for bug of that magnitude is simply
not acceptable for any word processor.

I understand reinserting fields as a workaround of the bug, but not that it is
by design and it won't be fixed.
