I agree with OD. Why should the numbering attribute be treated different from,
say, the alignment attribute. So I consider this 'work as designed'. However, if
there's a huge public demand to change the current behavior, this can be easily
changed. So I suggest this: The submitter (tab) may reopen this issue if he
really feels like this should be changed. In this case the issue type should be
set to 'Enhancement' and the submitter can discuss this issue on the public
mailing lists (e.g., ux.openoffice.org or else). If there is a consensus and a
considerable amount of users who want this to be changed (and state this by
e.g., voting for this issue) , we will re-evaluate this issue. Can we agree upon
this?
