'I too guess that it is a font problem.'
You guessed right!
The 'R' and 2nd 'Q' subscripts in the 3rd line were erroneously set in the
(nonexistent) 'arTahoma' font. Reset them to Tahoma (or Arial, or ..), and the
extra space disappears!
Hard-to find problem, as you will agree.
Should OO warn when a inexistent of uninstalled font is used? New issue!
