------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Sep 25 14:35:12 +0000 2008 ------- hmm.. this seems a tricky issue. I cannot confirm the validation with Acrobat 9, since I only have the non-pro version. But internally Acrobat 9 should use the callas software pdfa validator. It validates empty and one-line OOo pdfas correctly as valid. But if I use an input file which is more complex, it still generated (other) errors for me. This time I used CallasSoftware PdfaPilot v1.1.066 for validation. As a document to validate, I used the OpenOffice specification from the following URL (also attached for convenience). http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/19275/OpenDocument-v1.0ed2-cs1.odt The following error gets generated: Invalid PDF: The document does not comply with the PDF specification. Details: Syntax problem: String object invalid (prohibited characters in a hexadecimal string) The document exceeds the limitations of the PDF 1.4 specification. Details: Syntax problem: Array with more than 8191 elements Can we continue to discuss it in this issue report or should a new one get created? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
