------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Nov 14 14:51:02 +0000 2008 ------- I had begun working with a Master Document in early October, 2008, working with, and saving it and the subdocuments in OOo 2.4.1 on Windows XP Pro. I got involved in other projects, during which I upgraded to OOo3.0. I have since returned to that project and, when I opened the Master Document (saved in 2.4.1) in OOo 3.0, the Master Document had lost all the page breaks that were still intact in the subdocuments. I had no problem like this in 2.4.1 (which seems to be why I was directed, in the forums, to make this Bug Report). All the page breaks that were lost were manually inserted, & are not part of the Styles for the Headings with which almost all of the new pages start. Again, they are all intact in the Subdocuments, but no manner of re-insertion, saving, or updating either the Sub- or Master Documents causes them to be seen in the Master Document. I also tried one other "trick": I had exported the Master Document (still in 2.4.1) as a standard .odt file - breaking all the links, etc. - and tried, in 3.0, to create a NEW Master Document from that ODT file. The same problem came up, and - this time - neither the Master nor the Sub-Documents retained the page breaks. I was able to fix them in the sub-documents where, again, they remain intact after saving them, but the Master Document still does not recognize or show them, even after saving & closing, & then reopening the file and updating all links, etc. When I can find where to attach the file, I will. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I set this as P1 because I found this out the hard way, when my Manager decided to review my work for the past 6 weeks, and we opened it on his computer (also running 3.0 now). I need to "downgrade" back to 2.4.1 in order to maintain productivity, and be able to move forward with this document. Again, in 2.4.1, I had no problems at all with the page breaks from sub-documents showeing up in the Master Document. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
