Are you saying that the relationship information is stored in the backend and not in OOo itself? IOW, relationships from the relationship manager are only supported in InnoDB for mysql? Relationships in queries, etc. are supported just fine and apparently stored in the OOo file, no matter the backend. I guess, it would be advisable that OOo issue a warning from the relationship manager if a relation cannot be saved instead of quietly dropping it.
