The problem here is that the database doesn't report an error when we execute
the SQL statement to create the relation. The difference between relations in a
query or in the database is that you use the first one to create a result set
(we can store the select statement), the other is to let the database know what
to do when you enter an invalid value for a foreign key or to update this key as
well. For the options just do a double click on the connection line.

MySQL InnoDB supports relations (foreign keys) other not (as far as I know)
Just to make it clear, only forms, report, and queries are stored inside the odb
file when you connect to extern database server.
