In my scenario, with the right path set, the connector is the starting soffice process - so I think my problem is elsewhere. I replicated the whole process on a separate machine with a desktop and I notice the first time the api is invoked, a registration wizard pops up (and this seems to hang the api until completed). I think (believe) at this stage that this is actually what's happening on my troublesome machine, if so - then I have a different problem to solve - how to prevent this on a headless / display manager less machine. but whatever the case, looks like my problem is a different one - and I realise BootstrapSocketConnector is not part of the product anyway... :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
