In fact I am very glad that the grid design has changed. We had quite some
people complaining about the older grid being not really visible since the dots
were too small. Now one can easily tell if there is a main gridpoint or a
subdivision point. Setting the gridcolor to a 10 % grey is the best for me. Hope
that you can get used to it.
