------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sat Feb 7 22:57:50 +0000 2009 ------- I am a Linux user who seems to have run into the same problem. Andrew Pitonyak has been trying to give me some assistance with this matter which I believe is similar to that described by stefan. Under OOo 2.4, a Python macro was stored in a user's home directory, such as /home/provinsd/.openoffice.org2/user/Scripts/python. To select the macro, one went to Tools -> Macros -> Organize Macros -> Python -> My Macros, picked what one wanted and ran it. Under OOo 3, there appears NOT to be anywhere to place the python macros EXCEPT in /opt/openoffice.org/basis3.0/share/Scripts/python, which means that they appear with the OpenOffice.org Macros, and not in My Macros. As I've discovered (quite by accident), if I were to create a Python extension, it would appear in My Macros. This seems (to me at least) to be inappropriate. Has OOo 3 made an undocumented change to the creation and storage of python macros, or is this a bug? I look forward to hearing from you.
