------- Additional comments from [email protected] Tue Feb 17 09:21:24 +0000 2009 ------- Steps: 1. Open a Text Document. 2. To show the problem more clear, change the font size to 96. 3. Input a hamza character in Arabic, e.g., input shif+h in Arabic IME(its unicode is 0623). 4. The default font is "Tahoma", the character displays well. Then change font to "Aharoni". Problem: the header of the character is out of border(the character is input in first line). The same problem is also in other fonts besides "Aharoni", such as "David". Environment: OO3.0(English version), Window XP In my guessing, the cause for this problem is there is something wrong in font fallback. This character isn't in font "Aharoni", so application use another font with fallback mechanism to replace it(it looks like using "Arial" to replace). However, the glyph is replaced, but the metric(such as baseline, ascent, descent) don't, then the problem happens. Hope above guessing is right and will help to fix this bug.
