I also cannot reproduce the problem using OOO310m4 on ubuntu 8.10.
I tested with SUN Java 1.6.0_10 and Free Software Foundation Java 1.5.0.
Maybe this is a problem of the build provided by Debian Lenny? Try out with the
build from OOo webpage...
