Set the desired size in "Default" paragraph style, then this shouldn't happen.
I think you have bben confused by the "Cursor right" feature. When hitting
"Cursor right" key at the end of a line all hard formattings (which are done via
Format.Character or Toolbar and not in the style) are removed/disabled.
