------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu May 7 18:33:15 +0000 2009 ------- Here's how to recreate this situation: -> Open a fresh instance of Spreadsheet -> in column A, row 1 input 9/9/2008 -> press "Enter" key -> right click column A, row 1 and choose "Format Cells..." -> in the "Format Cells" dialog box, "Numbers" tab, under "Category" change it from default "Date" to "Text" -> Click "Ok" button The entry in column A, row 1 changes to text 39700 This needs to display 9/9/2008 or some similar permutation of this in text format. This is simply abysmal and unacceptable behavior from such a seemingly fabulous product and needs to be fixed immediately.
