What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a empty document
2. Insert two or more paragraphs with arbitrary text
3. Use the stylemanager to apply an arbitrary style to both paragraphs
4. Change the style, to see each paragraph with an identical style change it's
appearance
5. Upload to Google Docs
6. Download from Google Docs (without doing any changes to the file)
7. Open the file in OpenOffice.org
8. Notice, that no styles are applied to any text
9. Reapply the styles to the paragraphs
10. Notice, that a change to a style doesn't update the paragraphs with an
identical style

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

See 4. and 10.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Openoffice 3.0.1 and 3.1 on Windows and Ubuntu, English and German language.

Additional information and workaround.

While it's obvious that Google doesn't fully support the ODF-specification (and
maybe never will), it should at least be possible to reapply styles (or offer a
notice regarding a corrupt file). But it seems OpenOffice.org is no longer able
to use these files as intended.

As a workaround, you might want to create Hybrid-PDF files (PDF plus attached
ODF-File), which you're able to create when using the Sun PDF Import Extension.
