The result of the IFs is a text. Are you sure about that format? You cannot
calculate with texts. You would have to convert it to a number before you can
multiply with 12, for example.
Please read the discussion in issue 5658.
For the currency number format the currency unit is not part of the stored
value, but it is only a style of the cell. You can forth a result to a dedicated
style by using the function STYLE.
