It seems to be caused by rotating the MetaFile; this is supported but the old VCL-Method takes the angle not as double and in radiant, but as integer in the range [0..3600]. There is no input parameter check there, and some back-calculations of the double radians angle create negative values. The vcl-method does not work with those.
