------- Additional comments from [email protected] Tue Aug 18 07:05:04 +0000 2009 ------- Your are right that <quote> ... and that OOo does not handle the Lotus Symphony created ODF text document completely according the ODF specification. </quote> mean that OOo does not follow that ODF specification, but it does not mean that storing the ODF attribute style:default-outline-level at the correct ODF element means that OOo violates the ODF specification. This is the statement You have read from the above quote and this is not correct. But let us stop this discussion here. I have installed Lotus Symphony 1.3 and performed my test with the following result: - The numbering of the headings is _not_ lost. Thus, I assume that You had exchanged the given document at least once with Lotus Symphony 1.2 A deeper look into the ODF created by Lotus Symphony 1.3 reveals the following: - Lotus Symphony 1.3 still does not seem to support paragraph style ODF attribute style:default-outline-level. - Lotus Symphony 1.3 seems to use paragraph style ODF attribute style:list-level to keep the assignment of the paragraph style to a certain list level of a list style which is named "Outline". The ODF attribute style:list-level is new in ODF 1.2 and has been contributed by IBM to ODF 1.2. But the ODF text document created by Lotus Symphony 1.3 claims to be in ODF 1.1 file format. Thus, the created ODF text document is not a valid ODF 1.1, because ODF attribute style:list-level does not exist in ODF 1.1 Nevertheless, no software is perfect. Especially when it supports a certain standard - the one or the other thing is by intention or by accident not supported or implemented with a defect. Your problem in this issue is understood - root cause and defect cause are found. A simple workaround is also given. I also have a possible solution in mind. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
