------- Additional comments from [email protected] Wed Sep 2 14:45:01 +0000 2009 ------- When I choose Restart Numbering it is not remembered in one case: If Restart Numbering is seleceted for the FIRST numbered item in the document it is not remembered when the document is saved. It would seem that this is not important since, by implication, numbering is "virginal" at the start of a document and therefore this does not matter. However, when the document is linked into a Master Document then the numbering of the paragraph continues from the previous document rather than being Restarted. To work around this I insert a hidden paragraph into begging of the numbered list and then specify Restart Numbering on the second paragraph (the one after the hidden paragraph). The result is visually correct. It seems to me that Writer is turning off Restart Numbering for the first numbered paragraph when the document is saved. This is incorrect. The code should just leave it Selected or DeSelected as specified by the author. Test: Create a simple document with a simple numbered list. Specify Restart Numbering on item 1. Verify that Restart Numbering is specified. Save the document. RELOAD document -- this is important -- the on-disk version is wrong.
