------- Additional comments from [email protected] Fri Sep 4 03:55:42 +0000 2009 ------- When I clicked Auto Transfer dialog, I got BSOD. Workaround: 1. Removed extra files I had in OpenOffice.org2 > User >...> Office: 1.1. For example, the extra files were backup files and other copies with descriptions that explained what's in each file. 1.1.1. In many cases, additional text was added to the file extension. 2. Reinstalled 3.0.0. 3. When clicked Auto Transfer, no BSOD; but not all of my 2.4.1 user Profile files nor folders were transferred into 3.0.0. Workaround: 4. Manually moved them, for example: 4.1. At least one file in Office folder: 4.1.1. Common.xcu, replaced with larger 2.4.1 file. 4.2. The Office > UI folder. 4.3. Replaced Setup.xcu file in openoffice folder: 4.3.1. Which, among other things, specifies what initial Page Template to open with: 4.3.1.2. I have custom template(s). 4.4. At least one file in Config > soffice.cfg > Modules > swriter > Toolbar folder: 4.4.1. standardbar.xml: 4.4.1.1. Customized. 4.4.2. I don't remember if I had to also replace other files in that folder or add the entire folder. Side issue: 1. In W2K Add/Remove Programs, Change and Remove buttons are grayed out: 1.1. For both 2.4.1 and 3.0.0: 1.2. This happened to 2.4.1 only after I installed 3.0.0. 2. I cannot properly uninstall either version: 2.1. Especially since I cannot find an uninstall named file in either. 2.2. Of course, I can delete the relevant folders under Program Files and Documents and Settings: 2.2.1. But that leaves junk entries in the Registry. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
