I just added this under 100846, but it looks like it fits here?

I get similar problem with 3.1.1. My system is Windows Vista. There are problems
with finding the web browser when using Extension Manager. My scenarios 
executed:
1. install 3.1.1, when click on extension icon in upper right hand corner, get
message that cannot find web browser. Next, click on Tools, then Extension
Manager and Open Office crashes
2. try again with 3.1.1; go to tools, then extension manager, and get no
response; click 2nd time on tools, then extension manager and Open Office 
crashes
3. uninstall 3.1.1
4. install version 3.0.1; Extension manager works OK for updates of most
extensions. There is a problem with updating extension "Delta XML ODT Compare"
but I think that's a problem of the extension, not Open Office.
conclusion: Extension Manager in OpenOffice 3.1.1 is having problems finding the
web browser - The web browser being used is Mozilla Firefox. I did all the above
scenarios after uninstalling Firefox and re-installing Firefox in the default
location for Firefox's installation.
