Hi Alan,

Do you have an idea why loading UTF-8 is "much faster" than loading ISO-8859-8,
when the conversion is a trivial lookup table? And why is UTF-8 the quickest,
anyway - does myspell, hunspell or OpenOffice use UTF-8 as its internal
representation (and not wide characters, or other possible representations)?

I have another question (I can check this myself but if you have a quick answer,
it can save me time) - how much larger is the UTF-8 encoded dictionary than the
ISO-8859-8 dictionary?

The reason I'm asking these questions is that we are preparing for a new Hspell
release (a few years after our last release, unfortunately), and would like to
build dictionaries that would be useful to OpenOffice, as well as other
projects.
