@pl: Do we talk about Impress only? Or does it also affect Writer? In the latter
case, a 'no' from my side.
If any case, the current decision will make it more difficult for most of the
users. There might be a minor logical incorrectness, but it is definitively
easier to add the Impress feature later and to keep the originally proposed
design. Especially since it is a feature which is (almost) _never_ used, even in
the most current user data (approx. 0.052% for Front/Back).
