Well, it doesn't work for me and no, I'm not using absolute references. See the
attached spreadsheet. Col A (Order) is the correct order. Col B (Ref) contains
references to display the data in ascending order that is contained in Col D,
which is not in order. Now sort the data in Col D (Data) in ascending order and
see what happens to the values in Col B. The cell references have not changed
as they should to retain the logical reference to the original data in its new
position. If they had been absolute references I perhaps could have understood
it but they aren't.
