------- Additional comments from [email protected] Mon Nov 16 07:55:45 +0000 2009 ------- first of all i would recommend that you ask on the [email protected] mailing first. I would say you should keep the connection valid as long as you need it. I can't say it from your snippet alone but if no reference holding a remote UNO object is used somewhere the connection gets closed (as far as i know). I recommend to bootstrap UNO and store the component context or the desktop object somewhere and keep it alive as long as you need a valid connection. But it is always possible that the office gets closed on the other side. You have to register a CloseListener and you should throw a CloseVetoException if you don't want that the document gets closed. The whole process is not optimal and it's probably a good idea to handle the Disposed Exception as well and reconnect. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
