Analysis: The reason for the wrong bullet character are different Symbol fonts
on MS Windows and Mac OS
X. The code-point 0xf0b7 used in the .doc has no equivalent in the Symbol font
on Mac OS X. The font
fallback on Mac OSX then gets the "best match".
