I can't reproduce this problem.
I can't see any problem with the pictures after "autosave"
neither with the vanilla version 3.2RC1 nor with the Debian version 3.1.1 from
lenny backports.
today I test it under 32 bit
I will test it also under 64 bit tomorrow
