Of course I have changes in the document!
For example, I have "Edit->Changes->Show" and "Edit->Changes->Record" BOTH set.
When I start typing in the document (i.e., inserting new text), the text is
invisible. By "invisible", I mean that the cursor moves as each new character is
typed, but a blank space appears instead of black text. (Font color is set to
"Automatic", and the background is white, as viewed in Format->Character.) The
old text on either side of the new changes is still visible.
When I then set "Edit->Changes->NoShow", then the recently-entered text becomes
visible.
I have been tracking changes in my OO documents every day for almost 5 years.
I'm very familiar with how to use it. It is not behaving as before.
I am on a newly-configured ubuntu system, so perhaps one of the fonts is not
being picked up correctly or is missing or is corrupted. The odd thing is that
when "Show Changes" is off, the text shows up. Zooming in and out doesn't affect
the visibility of the newly-inserted text or any other changed text.
Changing the font doesn't affect the visibility of the text either.
