When I add ".odt" to file name it will be opened correctly with "Ooo 3.1.1 WIN
XP DE[OOO310m19 (Build 9420)]"!

You save your documents without file name extension, that can't work. You have
to add the correct extension or to check "Automatic file name extension" in the
file safe dialog.
