------- Additional comments from ttre...@openoffice.org Tue Mar 16 22:52:29 +0000 2010 ------- The single problem statement is at the bottom. Preceding is detailed configuration and context description. Configuration in detail: Openoffice.org version: 3.2 OOO320m12(build:9483) Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit. PC Clone (64 bit Asus-board-based clone system) PC clone running Kubuntu 9.10 3.2 patched to date (no 64 bit OS running anywhere even though the motherboard is 64 bit) Kubuntu running VMware Player (up to date version 3.0.1 build-227600) Ubuntu running in VMware Player (got that? :) ) In other words I am running Base 3.2 on Ubuntu 9.10 in a VMware virtual machine guest on a Kubuntu 9.10 VMware Player Host (on which I am *not* running oo.org at this time although 3.1 is installed on this host.) Problem Context: Installed OO.org 3.2 on Ubuntu via special instructions where all previous traces of the standard 3.1 OO.org where removed prior to using dpkg -i to install downloaded .deb packages for 3.2. This was necessary as no Ubuntu package store has access to OO.org 3.2. All has been working reasonably-- in particular this was the only way for me to get my OO.org 2.4 base db to work. 3.1 failed, but this 3.2 accessed it just fine. All was well except the query wizard and report wizard weren't functioning. Determined the likely cause of reporting wizard failure was that I should simply be using the Report Builder extension and so I attempted to install it. Noticed the page for this extension on your site required OO.org 3.2 or better so was expecting I was on the right track in my attempt to install this. The problem: Downloaded the extension, and attempted to install it with the following error message dialog: Dialog Title: Extension Manager Dialog Text: (com.sun.star.uno.RuntimeException) { { Message = "javaloader error - mapping of java XimplementationLoader to c++ failed", Context = (com.sun.star.uno.Xinterface) @0 } } --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
