There must be a default. 90% jpeg compression serves most, while achieving quite
nice savings in file size. Changing the default to lossless is therefore
unacceptable.
Analyzing a bitmap whether it might compress well or not however is not an
option either, since "compresses well" is in the eye of the beholder.
So yes, the user will have to choose the export options most suitable to his
requirements.
