I've taken another look at this issue and found out that it does not occur for a newly created document (my apologies for not checking this before). The issue occurs for a presentation that was converted from OOo 1.1.1, and I've slimmed it down to a single-page presentation containing only a single line that shows the problem; I will attach this presentation in a moment.
