At the very least the software needs to issue a warning that embedded video may not work in a ppt file viewed outside of oo; the generic warning about some formatting being lost isn't enough. I wasted hours on this, and from what I read on the forums others have also wasted hours on it. I am surprised there aren't more votes for this issue, but I'm new here and don't really understand the voting system. It took me quite some time to find the issue tracker and figure out the voting, and I suspect that stops a lot of users from casting votes.
