------- Additional comments from [email protected] Sat Apr 24 16:25:14 +0000 2010 ------- Dates, as text in localized or ISO-8601 formats, should be recognized and converted to serial numbers during text import. This is not happening with DEV300_m77: the dates are imported as text. Steps to reproduce: 1) Copy the following three lines of text data to the clipboard: 1/2/2010 2020-01-02 2-Jan-2010 2) File > New > Spreadsheet 3) Edit > Paste Special > As: Unformatted text Text Import dialog appears... Column type: all "Standard" (default setting) OK All three dates are imported as text instead of proper dates. All three dates are valid in my locale (US/English) and are recognized as dates and converted properly if I enter the text manually. A date in ISO-8601 format should be recognized in any locale. The same steps with OOo 3.2.0 import all three samples properly as dates. Simple numeric data are imported correctly as numeric values. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
