Hi whitroth,

yes, you cannot just install vanilla OOo alongside the build provided by RedHat
(or CentOS) without removing the openoffice.org-ure package first. Using both
versions at the same time is not recommended and is likely to cause problems
later when yum reports updates to the OOo packages. So you should do two things
to use vanilla OOo 3.2:
1) Remove all OOo-packages from your system (yum -y remove Openoffice.org*
ooobasis* should do the trick)
2) You should exclude the OOo packages from yum in /etc/yum.conf using the same
filename glob as above).
Now you should be able to install vanilla OOo without any further problems.

I invalidate the issue.
