On my test-XP system the families are shown in the fontlistbox as "Myriad Pro
Light", "Myriad Pro",
"Myriad Pro Cond" etc. and the test documents (both the *.doc and the *.odt)
look as good as expected.
How does the XP you have differ from ours? Which service pack etc.? Do you have
access to systems with
different patch-levels, could you test there? Are you sure you are testing a
plain upstream OOo and not
some patched up "improved" version?
Back to QA, some more testing+isolating is required
