------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Apr 27 14:14:06 -0700 2005 ------- "clu->xdamox: now i have the point - all wizards are written in java (without jre no java) - if you want to use the wizards, you have to install java, else you have to make everything manually (this is also possible, but more difficult) - that is why you get always this error message" 1. There is no way to create a new database manually without a JRE. You just get the same error no matter which way you try. 2. There is nothing informing you prior to download/install that the absence of a JRE will break the functionality of creating new databases whether manually or via wizards. "during rpm installation, no warning is possible - no bug, but confusing" RPM has the capacity to check for dependencies during install so how can that be true? In addition, this is a problem in win32 as well. Are you saying that the win32 installer also lacks the capacity to check for dependencies? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
