------- Additional comments from [email protected] Thu Aug 12 20:06:18 +0000 2010 ------- Hi, As I think the current method of coping sheets is a great extension to standard excel sheet copying. I think it is a real issue that it isn't possible to create a true copy of a sheet. Which doesn't change sheet references. Because It is a necessary feature to ensure reliability of calculations in large and very complex sheets. That a copy is a true replication without changes in formulas, even if the references aren't fixed. Example: A two sheet spreadsheet where in Sheet 1: 'Sheet 1'.A1 contains ='Sheet 2'.A2 'Sheet 1'.A2 contains 1 in sheet 2: 'Sheet 2'.A2 contains 2 Right click on Sheet 1, and Move/Copy sheet, select make copy. And place this in front of Sheet 1. I'll expect a Sheet 1_2, to be identical to Sheet 1, but it isn't. A1 field will refer to Sheet 1 and not sheet 2. This is very risky. When copying large sheets, where it is difficult to check if a reference has changed. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
