I opened the Example.odt file, and tried all permutations of checking and unchecking: + Table Properties -> Text Flow tab -> "Allow table to split across pages and columns" checkbox + Table Properties -> Text Flow tab -> "Allow row to split across pages and columns" checkbox none which fixed the result or cause of this bug.
