OK, I have now understood your problem - due to different font settings, the
table was spread across three pages on my system. You talk about the empty page
a table creates at its end; this happens because a table always has an empty
paragraph succeeding - otherwise you won't be able to enter content following a
table.
As a workaround try to set the font size of the paragraph to minimum size.
