I cannot reproduce as described.
Guessing you are exporting to *.doc but didn't mention it.
Might be then a duplicate of an existing WW8 issue.
Beside of this, if you are really using version 3.1.1, please install a current
3.3.0 version to report here. 3.1.1 is too old.
