the attached corrupted files do not look like .doc format at all. Such format is
not Written by OOo.
But the community reported very similar problems, where saving directly to
certain USB sticks leads to described problems. Problems then occurred like
contents of files mixed up (which definitely cannot be caused by OOo) or files
being saved in a format looking like plain txt format (like in your case).
Copying files first to HD, edit there and then move to USB stick.
