If there is a need of reducing the amount of the default available fonts in the
list, shorten them to the "recently used one" is not possible and/or too
restrictive:
1) Not possible
As rhydian pointed out, when first starting OOo, there is per definition not
"last used" font.
2) Too restrictive
Choosing arbitrary "some existing fonts" has always drawbacks: you never know
which ones the current user needs and there is no list of "standard fonts" (on
which system and which version of this system, anyway?).
Deciding for the user which fonts are THE ones will always make some people
unhappy.
A better proposal is that where users could exclude specific font they *know*
they will never use at all.
