My further remarks of May 18 remained unanswered: maybe I had to re-open the
issue?
My question was not purely academic: I'm working with a 700 rows and around 156
cols spreadsheet which was imported into OOo-1.1.4 from original Lotus.123 via
.xml (Excel) files and was full of cross referencing to named range cells, which
were all translated as absolute ref ($X$y for all cells involved in the
formulas), causing quite a big mess when I went on inserting new rows (until I
realized what was going on :-)).
