After having removed any OOO installation, and deleted any OOO directory, I reinstalled OpenOffice 1.9.104. Then I reinstalled the langpack and I noticed that it was going to install in the OpenOffice.org 1.9.100 directory (that didn't exist!!). I paused, and I used the browse funtion to install the langpack in the OpenOffice.org 1.9.104 directory; now anything now works !! It seems that there may be an error in the path of the installation language pack !
