I can't reproduce. Before installing the language pack OOo start with an english
gui. After installing the language pack the gui switched to german. How did you
start the office? Out of the terminal? Which locale is set in your environment?
Did you start out of the panel? Which language has your panel? Did you change
the OOo gui language to english in tools options?
